Sydney Pools Get a Makeover

Despite being a top destination for beach lovers, Sydney also has its fair share of pool spots. From its urban public pools to its iconic ocean pools, there’s plenty of opportunity to get in the water, turn Thirsty Merc up to full volume and get silly with your nearest and dearest.

This week, one of those swimming hotspots got a well-deserved upgrade. A new app allows you to book 130 sidney pools by the hour at the touch of a button.

The Sydney Rockpools app (which is currently only available on iPhone) lets you search for your ideal spot and reserve a space to enjoy a swim. The app features a map of all the Sydney rock pools and their location, along with a description and images of each one. It’s a great tool for anyone who wants to get in the water but doesn’t have access to a private pool.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet poolside escape or an action-packed experience, you can find it all at Sydney’s newest public pools. These are not your typical swimming pools, however, as the facilities include a lazy river, exercise equipment and even a shady grass park. The site is also open to the public and is free to use, although you’ll need to bring your own towels.

It’s not hard to see why these unique swimming spots are so popular. Their location, design and atmosphere make them perfect for socialising or relaxing while still being able to take in the view of the city’s iconic harbour.

The pools are also a good option for families with children, who can enjoy the water without worrying about the waves or sharks lurking nearby. There are plenty of amenities, including lifeguards on duty and shaded areas for parents to relax while their kids play.

These new swimming pools are part of a city-wide initiative to promote healthy lifestyles. They’re designed to encourage people to get active and spend time outdoors, as well as providing an affordable alternative to gym memberships. In addition to being a fun and active way to stay in shape, the pools are also environmentally friendly.

In order to ensure the pools were sustainable, the design team worked closely with the community and involved local residents in every step of the process. This included conducting a feasibility study, site evaluation and selection, as well as preparing the preliminary design, cost estimates and design document.

WTI also worked closely with the Mayor’s Swimming Pool Committee to develop a one-of-a-kind facility that responds to the needs of the city’s citizens. We’re excited to see that the public is already loving their new space.
